Ubuntu: native apps and improvements
The new 15.10 with beta unit8 support is almost out there, real support is promised in next LTS 16.04. I've been using Ubuntu since five years and like it more and more.
Like all linux distributions, Ubuntu seems to be not so polished like for instance OSX, but the majority of problems you would have are hardware related and cause by many different types of it out there.
And like every linux distribution, Ubuntu has many different ways to improve it. I've tried to gather all my favorite stuff here.
Indicators are a special type of applications, which stay in the system tray and show some kind of information or let you access some features quickly.
System load indicator
Small thing makes it easy to find out the reason, why your computer is getting suddenly stupid
Sometimes your computer is getting hot without a reason, this indicator will let you know about it at the right moment
This indicator changes wallpaper dynamically and adds fancy looking clock to desktop and lock screen
Indicator sticky notes
Sticky notes indicator, self explaining :) Showing/hiding can be triggered from any screen from sys tray.
